Obedience training teaches your dog to come when called, not to bite, proper social behavior around people and other dogs. In our Basic Training Classes you will also learn how to stop behaviors that can damage your loving relationship with your dog and encourage those good behaviors which will bond you and your dog for life.

Positive reinforcement dog training utilizes praise and rewards rather than punishment and corrections to teach dogs right from wrong. Treats, toys, praise and affection are used to REWARD your dog. Positive reinforcement allows for happy dogs, happy people and a strong and healthy relationship.

Puppies are never too young to learn and older dogs are never too old to learn new behaviors. When your puppy starts going out in public, it is time to start class and teach him how to be a well-behaved community member.

About Our Basic Training Classes

Traditionally, Good Dog Classes have been held on the same day of the week for 7 weeks in a row. If you are sick, or go on vacation, or can’t make class for some other reason you would have to schedule a make-up session. Perhaps you could not get that scheduled before the next regular class session. Or, you had a very busy week at work and just didn’t have time to train your dog. You end up falling behind the rest of the class, getting frustrated and maybe even dropping out of class all together.

To better serve our clients and their dogs we have developed Level Classes. We offer Level Classes for Adult dogs and Puppies.

You may pay for each class individually, or purchase packages at a reduced rate per class. Reservations in class are required as we can only take 8 dogs in each class. So please call ahead and book your spot in class. We feel this is the best way for you and your dog to learn, and the best way to meet your busy and flexible schedule.

An Introductory Class for Good Dog and Good Puppy Classes must be attended before attending your first Level Class. This is a free 30 minute class without dogs.
