We had a great turnout for the photo shoot in early December. Kent Dannen photographed about 35 dogs in a variety of poses. Some with Santa, some without. Inside or outside. It was a great day. We raised $700 to benefit the Pet Association of Estes Park. Thanks to all who came out to support this great cause.
On Saturday, July 18th The Dog Club sponsored a fund-raiser for Animal House a local no-kill shelter.
It was a great success! Over 40 dogs were washed and $840 was raised. The Dog Club plans to make this an annual event
More and more research shows that early socialization and training is key in raising a puppy that is a good companion and member of society. If early training is not done those cute little pups become big dogs with bad manners and behaviors. At The Dog Club of Fort Collins we have developed a program to provide puppies with everything needed to develop into well mannered, obedient and well socialized dogs.
We are proud to announce our first AKC STAR Puppy Class. While you are attending the class your puppy may be enrolled in The Puppy Club which will provide socialization and grooming.
Canine Good Citizen Class and certification is now available at The Dog Club.
The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Basic obedience commands will be learned and reviewed. Class will be held at The Dog Club of Fort Collins and also off-site to simulate test situations. The test will be administered during the last session of class. The Dog Club now offers Poop Scooping Services. We can arrange to come to your home and keep your yard clean.
Agility Classes are to be offered Beginning June 17th, 20008. Hosted by VCA Fort Collins Animal Hospital and instructed by Sarah Stremming. Classes include Foundation Handling & Obstacles, Beginning Agility, and Intermediate Agility. Drop-ins for those with proven experience on an agility course will be available.
