Winter Time Blues
Here are some more winter time fun and games to entertain your pup.
- Take his kibble for his dinner and instead of feeding it to
him all at once, hide it around the house. Put it under chairs,
behind the sofa, under throw rugs and anywhere else that makes it
difficult for him to find the goodies. Put him a sit stay while
you go hide the food and then release him. He'll spend at least
30 minutes tearing around the house trying to find every morsel.
- Now is also a good time to catch up and keep up on the grooming.
Evening brushouts helps keep those coats nice and mat free. Shedding
season will be upon us soon, so get in the habit now of brushing your
dog. Make it a fun and relaxing time for both of you. If you're
having problems, or your dog doesn't seem to like getting brushed use
treats to make it a more pleasant experience.
